Connect with host/port/user/password — or via SSH tunnel for protected databases — and the AI introspects your schema (tables, columns, foreign keys, indexes) in seconds. From there, every question you ask in chat is translated to safe parametrized SQL, run against your database, and returned as a chart, table, or full dashboard. Decimals, dates, JSON columns, and spatial types are all handled correctly. Credentials are encrypted at rest with Fernet, never logged, and never returned by any API.

From your project, click 'Add source' → MySQL. Enter host, port (default 3306), database name, user, and password.
If your MySQL isn't publicly reachable, toggle SSH tunnel and provide bastion host + private key or password.
